5 actors’ names to become odonyms in Tehran

5 streets in the Iranian capital city of Tehran are to be named after a number of Iran cinema veterans.

According to a media report, Members of Tehran city council have already decided upon naming one of the city streets after the late cinema legend Jamshid Mashayekhi. It is a gesture in paying tribute to the late star.  

The veteran actor passed away recently on April 02, 2019 after being active for almost half a century in the arena of acting.

Ahmad Masjed-Jamei, a member of the city council, has also put the name of four other Iranian stars forth to name streets for them. The list reads as late Davoud Rashidi, late Ezzatollah Entezami, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz and Ali Nassiriyan.
